Guard Your Heart.

“Guard your heart with all diligence, for out of it flows the issues of life.”

Your life does not flow first from your bank account, your connections, or your talents.
It flows from your heart, the inner well where thoughts, wounds, desires, fears, and faith all live together.

We are trained to guard many things: Our phones with passwords.
Our homes with locks.
Our money with budgets.
But the scripture says the most valuable thing you own is invisible.

Because whatever sits in the heart eventually shows up in life.
A bitter heart will leak bitterness into conversations.
A fearful heart will leak anxiety into decisions.
A proud heart will leak control into relationships.
But a healed heart…
A guarded heart…
A surrendered heart…
That heart leaks peace, wisdom, and discernment.

To guide your heart with diligence means you don’t let just anything move in and rearrange the furniture.

You question what you allow to stay:
That offense; should it live here?
That jealousy; does it deserve a room?
That lie about your worth; who let that in?

Because once something settles in the heart, it starts directing the course of your life quietly, like an unseen captain steering a ship at night.

Guarding your heart is not about being cold.
It’s about being intentional.

It means: Choosing forgiveness so resentment doesn’t poison your future.
Choosing truth so insecurity doesn’t write your story.
Choosing faith so fear doesn’t drive your choices.

Your heart is not just where you feel.
It is where you become.
And life flows downstream from whatever is stored there.
